Dear SF Flag Football League Community,

We hope this newsletter finds you well and energized for the upcoming season! We have some important announcements and opportunities to share with you as we continue to evolve and grow as a league.

New Leadership Team:

After a thorough review of our bylaws and in alignment with our mission and vision, we recently conducted elections for new board members. We're thrilled to announce that Jordan McDowell has been elected as our new Commissioner, and Devin Fathi will serve as our Treasurer.

Marti Davis will be completing her term as Secretary, and we will be looking to fill the seat of Secretary. Additionally, Isaias Diaz has served the league for over 6 years and has been fundamental in helping our fundraising efforts. He has decided to take a well deserved break from the board.

If you're interested in serving on the board and supporting the league, we will have more positions and elections in the near future. Please reach out to sfgfflcomms@gmail.com to express interest and find out more information.

Call for Players:
We are actively seeking more players this upcoming Spring season! If you have ideas or know anyone interested in joining our flag football community, please spread the word. We've extended the registration period for the spring league, and we're hosting another social play on 3/2.

If you're interested in being a captain, please let us know before 3/1. Final registration deadline is 3/6. Register here: https://sfgffl.sportngin.com/register/form/490455408

Remember, if you're planning to participate in Pride Bowl travel, you must be registered for the spring season.

Fundraiser:

We are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the incredible dedication and hard work of our volunteers, we have successfully raised almost $1,000 in funding for the San Francisco Gay Flag Football League (SFGFFL)! At the forefront of this achievement is Isaias Diaz, who brilliantly orchestrated a strategic partnership between the League and LookOut, resulting in a significant funding boost for both our league and operational endeavors.

This achievement marks a pivotal moment for our community, showcasing the power of collaboration and commitment. As we continue to grow and support LGBTQ+ inclusion in sports, we invite you to join us on this journey. Your contribution, whether through donations or volunteering, makes a lasting impact.
